Scottish Government confirms modern apprenticeships funding

The Scottish Government has delivered welcome news by confirming funding for modern apprenticeships for the upcoming financial year, putting to rest concerns raised after accusations of leaving thousands of young people "in limbo." 

Following last month's cautionary press release from the Scottish Training Federation (STF), highlighting the risk of a freeze on new placements due to delays in ministerial approval for Skills Development Scotland’s (SDS) budget, uncertainty loomed for both training providers and eager young individuals. 

However, with funding now officially secured, the path is clear for the continuation of vital apprenticeship programmes, ensuring that countless young Scots can embark on their career journeys with confidence and optimism
